Wealthwise podcast, Episode 2 – ‘Gold is exciting, but what about Silver?’ with Baker Steel’s David Baker

In this episode, David Baker, Managing Partner at Baker Steel Capital Managers LLP and manager of the Baker Steel Gold & Precious Metals Fund, discusses the recent surge in gold prices and its implications for mining equities.

With gold prices reaching new highs, Baker acknowledges, “When the market runs hard like this, normally you have to have some kind of consolidation.”

David also anticipates a short-term pullback but remains optimistic about the long-term outlook for gold, citing factors like central bank buying and historical reserve ratios.

While the focus remains on gold, David also touches upon the broader precious metals sector, in particular the opportunity that silver miners could present for investors.
